Label Backing Recycling

Reduce waste disposal costs with a dedicated recycling solution

Regenthill provides a practical recycling service for suitable glassine label backing, helping businesses divert more production waste from disposal and improve their overall recycling performance.

Instead of placing used label backing into general waste, your teams can segregate it at source using dedicated Soprema collection boxes provided free of charge. Regenthill then arranges for the material to enter an appropriate specialist recycling process.

Recycle more. Dispose of less. Reduce your waste-management costs.

What is label backing?

Label backing is the paper material left behind after a self-adhesive label has been removed and applied.

Also known as a release liner, it is commonly made from glassine paper and coated with a thin silicone layer that allows the label to peel away cleanly.

Although this material is often placed in general waste, suitable clean and segregated glassine label backing can be recovered through a specialist recycling route.

What can go into the boxes?

To protect material quality, boxes should not contain:

  • Plastic wrapping

  • Food or liquid contamination

  • General production waste

Regenthill will review your waste stream before the service begins and confirm the required material specification.
